An aid to physicians seeking to make appropriate treatment decisions

Studies have shown that when the tumor type is known, patients can receive today's preferred tumor-specific therapies and may experience better response to treatment. This is why current treatment guidelines established by the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) state that whenever possible, cancer patients should receive treatment that is targeted to their specific tumor type.1

Today's cancer therapies can be both more effective and easier to tolerate. Even many metastatic tumors can respond to these tumor-targeting treatments. Being able to identify tumors quickly and provide these preferred therapies can enable physicians to improve the quality of care their patients receive and also reduce the burden of uncertainty on patients and families.
